How are you different than a consolidator?
Our top priority is an excellent client experience — not finding the way to make the most money on a ticket. We are 100% committed to presenting you with the best options for your clients, regardless of how much money we stand to make from a transaction. We present each of our flight options in a clean, easy-to-read format with details on why they are the best options based on a number of important criteria (i.e. lie-flat seats, wifi, meal service, seat style, etc).
What does your customer service look like?
Our 24/7 Customer Service is what truly sets us apart. All of our tickets (both published and NET) are managed in one GDS with a centralized 24/7 phone line with expert agents and minimal hold times. Our team is proactive in identifying potential travel issues, and we are constantly monitoring for cancellations and delays and proactively making back-up plans. In 2021, our proactive methods ensured that we did not have a single client who needed to access our 24/7 Emergency Service line.
Do you book all flights?
Currently, we only book International Business & First Class flights.
Where do you get your fares?
We use a mix of tour-operator NET fares, discounted private fares, and published fares to curate the best options for clients.
What happens when there is a cancellation or delay?
We do our best to catch every flight cancellation and delay before you or your clients notice, help to prepare for the worst, and work diligently to find optimal solutions when unavoidable disruptions occur. If your client needs emergency service, you can personally call your dedicated agent's cell or reach out to our 24/7 Customer Service Line at
1-917-408-8302.
Do you charge fees?
We charge a modest fee of $100 per ticket, which includes complimentary priority access to our emergency services.*
*Missed flights due to late arrival at the airport are not covered as a “missed flight” and are subject to a $250 per ticket fee.
Do you pay commission?
Yes. In most cases, we pay 25% of the gross commission paid by the airline to our valued agency partners. Commissions will vary based on routing, flight cost, and airline. While we are fully transparent that you will earn less commission when booking flights through our service, the quality of service that you will be able to deliver to your clients improves dramatically.
How do we work together?
There are multiple ways we can work together. First, each transaction can be facilitated by you as the middleman. Alternatively, you can introduce clients to us directly by emailing
requests@theflightdesk.com and we will keep you in the loop throughout the entire booking process and direct commission back to you upon completion.
Who is a good agency partner for Your Flight Desk?
The majority of agencies that we work with focus primarily on booking International Business and First Class flights for clients. These agencies value service and expertise over all else. It's important that you are comfortable providing your client's contact information to us in the event of cancellations or delays. Additionally, we do not partner with agents who ask us to “shop” on their behalf, only to book flights with someone who will pay higher commission. We fully understand you may not need our expertise service for every client and are completely open to working together for your VVIP clients.
Do you book mileage tickets?
Yes. The fee for mileage tickets is $350 pp NET. Please note that we do not book mileage tickets within North or South America. For mileage ticket booking, we must be put in touch directly with your client to obtain the pertinent information.
Do you need my client's contact information?
Yes. We require client cell phone numbers and email addresses in case of emergency during travel. We will keep you apprised of any client communication to ensure transparency. We understand the importance of protecting your client base and will gladly sign non-solicitation agreements to give you peace of mind.
Can I reach out for a flight I booked without you?
Our emergency support service is reserved for flights that we have booked. We do, however, provide assistance to agency partners for a flat emergency service fee of $300 per ticket. We are not able to guarantee this service and evaluate each emergency service request on a case-by-case basis based on our resources at that time.
